Afghanistan, May 19 -- A clash broke out between the Afghan MPs ahead of Sunday's general session of the Lower House of Parliament, Wolesi Jirga, forcing the security personnel to intervene and prevent further outbreak of violence among the supporters and opponents of Mir Rahman Rahmani who was declared as House Speaker following a voting session on Saturday.

The clash apparently broke out ahead of the general session of the parliament which was organized in the absence of media.

However, several footages, apparently taken by some lawmakers are being circulated in social media which shows a tense situation inside the parliament.
