Afghanistan, Sept. 2 -- It has been nearly 20 days since the last international commercial plane has landed in Afghanistan or has flown over the country.

A Qatari flight carrying technical team landed on Wednesday, September 1, in Hamid Karzai International Airport HKIA based in the Afghan capital Kabul.

The team is said to be assisting Afghans in reactivating HKIA for resuming local and International flights.

Sources have told AFP that the team is a negotiating technical team that will be discussing preliminary issues with the Taliban officials over reactivating the airport.
