Afghanistan, April 12 -- An Afghan-born woman residing in Canada has been recognized with one of the country's highest honorary distinctions for her outstanding service to the community. The King Charles III Coronation Medal was awarded during a ceremony at Concordia University in Montreal.
Nilab Ferooz, who serves as President of the Council for Quebec and the Maritimes, received the medal from the Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec, the Honorable Manon Jeannotte. The distinction honors individuals who have made significant contributions to Canadian society through leadership and service.
