Afghan Air Force's A-29s and MD-530s target Taliban hideouts in Kunar and Kapisa
Afghanistan, March 23 -- The Afghan Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes in eastern Kunar and northeastern Kapisa province of Afghanistan leaving at least militants dead.
The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East announced Saturday that the Afghan Air Force carried out airstrikes against Taliban hideouts in Ghaziabad district of Kunar on Friday night.
According to a statement released by 201st Silab Corps, at least five militants were killed during the airstrikes which were carried out with the help of A-29 light attack aircraft.
The 201st Silab Corps in a separate statement said Afghan Air Force MD-530s carried out similar airstrikes in Ela Sai district of Kapisa province leaving two militants dead.
