Afghanistan, Feb. 5 -- Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan V has been declared the 50th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community, following the passing of his father, His Highness Shah Karim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan IV, who led the community for over six decades. The announcement was made in Lisbon in the presence of the Imam's family and senior Ismaili leaders after the reading of Karim's Will, in accordance with the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslim tradition of Nass-the formal designation of the succeeding Imam.
