Jammu, July 5 -- Justice Anup Jairam Bhambani of Delhi High Court deserves appreciation for his detailed 83-page verdict in WPC 3491 of 2013 in the matter - Subhash Chandra Agrawal versus Lok Sabha Secretariat - finally deciding important issues of an RTI application dated 01.09.2011 wherein details with related documents relating to objections raised by the then Opposition Leader in Lok Sabha on grant of one-year extension to the then Lok Sabha secretary were denied by Lok Sabha Secretariat claiming exemption under 8(1)(C) of RTI Act being of parliamentary privilege. CIC through its order dated 20.02.2013 left decision to provide information at discretion of the then Lok Sabha Speaker who subsequently declined information.
