Landslide damage 4 houses, apple orchard at Latiefabad
Baramulla, March 30 -- At least four residential houses, a cowshed and an apple orchard was damaged after a landslide hit them in Latiefabad Chandoosa area of Baramulla district on Sunday.
The landslide triggered by incessant rains hit the four residential houses and a cowshed, leaving the four families homeless.
"14 people from four families were rescued after a landslide hit four residential houses and a cowshed in Latiefabad Chandoosa. An apple orchard was also badly damaged as trees of the orchard got buried and uprooted," said a police official involved in rescue operation.
