Maseru, Feb. 25 -- The Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Moeketsi Majoro led the sod-turning ceremony of the construction of Maseru District Hospital which will be built at the grounds of the old Queen Elizabeth II Hospital and will be fully functional in 2023.

The hospital has been fully funded with M800 million from the People's Republic of China.

Speaking at the launch, the People's Republic of China Ambassador to Lesotho Lei Kezhong said this is another important project of bilateral pragmatic cooperation between China and Lesotho under the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) framework.
