India, Sept. 20 -- Kolkata: In a virtual advice for Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team, former skipper Sourav Ganguly said the young talents must be given "consistent opportunities".

Ganguly, who often praises Kohli for his batting skill, made the comment in a column for The Times of India just after the present Indian skipper said a player can get five matches to prove themselves.

"Before the last (ODI) World Cup, there was too much noise about it and that sometimes is not good. What they (Team India) need to do is pick the best possible players and give them consistent opportunities, as there is some serious talent in the domestic circuit," said Ganguly as reported by the TOI.
