Swati Maliwal says fast unto death to continue after Delhi Police stops protests at Jantar Mantar
New Delhi, Dec. 3 -- Chief of Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal was stopped from holding a hunger strike to protest against crime against women at the Jantar Mantar.
Maliwal, who is demanding fast-tracking of rape cases and hanging of rapists withing six months of accusation, said she was not a "criminal" and it was "unfortunate" that Delhi Police was not cooperating.She has also written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating her demands.However, the Delhi Police has said that it is yet to receive the details, including the number of mics, protesters expected and a copy of undertaking as per the Supreme Court guidelines.
