Riyadh, Nov. 23 -- Saudi officials have announced Wednesday as a celebratory holiday for all employees and students in the country after the national football squad beat Lionel Messi's Argentina in a Group C match of the ongoing Qatar World Cup.

King Salman approved a suggestion made by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to celebrate the national team's victory with a holiday, reports Arab News.

The Kingdom's Ministry of Education said any exams scheduled for Wednesday would be postponed to Dec.7.
