Manama, Aug. 25 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with the King Hamad Order of the Renaissance during his trip to Bahrain on Saturday.

The award was conferred to him by Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Modi also held talks with King of Bahrain on wide-ranging bilateral and regional issues.

Modi's visit became the first by an Indian PM to the country.
