India, Nov. 27 -- The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchagne (BSE) on Wednesday ended at a new peak at 41,020.61, advancing by 199.31 points on renewed buying in Materials, Energy, Auto, Telecom and Finance stocks amid strong global cues.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 63 points to 12,100.70.The Nifty registered days high and low at 12,114.90 and 12,055.15 points respectively.The market remained in green througout the day as it opened on a strong note at 40,979.39, up by 158 points.
