Manipur, May 23 -- The family members of a victim of a hit-and-run case on Wednesday urged the authorities concerned to book the culprits, while alleging that Heingang Police Station demanded money when they went to collect the victim's vehicle from the police station.

In a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, Imphal, Ngangbam Reva of Loitang Sandum in Imphal West narrated that around 9.42 pm on February 16, her husband, Ngangbam Ibomcha met an accident at Chumbreithong near IGAR South gate, Imphal West. Her husband was hit by a vehicle which immediately fled from the spot without showing any concern tothe victim, she said.
