Manipur, June 29 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, who recently travelled to Manipur and Delhi, tested negative for COVID-19, official sources said on Sunday.

Sangma, who is the National People's Party chief, had travelled to Manipur and Delhi last week to resolve the political crisis that surfaced in the Manipur government, of which NPP is a major partner.

The first test for COVID-19 was conducted on Sangma on June 22 and the second one on Sunday, an official at the CMO said.
