Manipur, Dec. 5 -- Students can gain better knowledge when they learn more languages and hence, they should try to learn as many languages apart from English, Manipur University vice chancellor professor Naorem Lokendra said Monday.

He was speaking during the first day of the two-daynational seminar "NEP 2020 and Higher Education through Indian languages" held at Court Hall of Manipur University, Canchipur, Imphal on Monday.

The programme was jointly organised by the Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology (Department of Higher Education), Union Education Ministry and the Department of Library and Information Science, Manipur University.
