Manipur, Nov. 12 -- Amid the agitations to safeguard the state territorial integrity from the outcome of Naga peace talks, Manipur Democratic Alliance (MDA) urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to give a written assurance that the interest of Manipur will be protected.

This was stated by convenor of MDA, M Tombi, during a press conference held on Monday at its office located at Babupara, Imphal. He said Amit Shah needs to provide a written assurance stating that interest of the state will be protected from the outcome of the Naga peace talks.
