Manipur, Aug. 17 -- The 73rd Independence Day of India was celebrated on August 15 at HiangtamLamka Public Ground, Churachandpur.
The event was attended by Agriculture minister, V Hangkhanlian as chief guest while DC of Churachandpur, PawanYadav and SP- Churachandpur, Amrita Sinha shared the dais as presidium members. It also witnessed the attendance of DLOs, top brasses of AR stationed in the district along with 67 contingency of school students, paramilitary forces and NCC cadets from various colleges.
The final match of a football tournament, which was held to mark the 73rd Indian Independence Day observation, was also played on the occasion. The final match witnessed Khallai FC beating HihHiaiHuai FC by a score line of 4-2.
