Manipur, March 19 -- Chief minister, Nongthombam Biren Singh has extended his condolence at the demise of chief minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar, who passed away yesterday at Panaji from a prolonged illness.
In his condolence message, Biren said Manohar was a sincere and an honest politician respected and admired across party lines. "His passionate dedication for the welfare of the people will always remain an inspiration for all of us. In his death, we have lost a great leader" goes his message.
He explained that Manohar was born on December 13, 1955, entered politics in 1994 and got elected to the Legislative Assembly of Goa the same year. He was the leader of opposition from June to November 1999. He became the chief minister of Goa f...
