Padma Shri awardee cosmologist dies at 64
Pune, Sept. 18 -- Celebrated cosmologist and theoretical physicist professor Thanu Padmanabhan - known as Paddy among peers - passed away on Friday following a heart attack at his residence in Pune. A distinguished professor at the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, Paddy, 64, was a trailblazer in the field of quantum gravity and cosmology, with numerous books to his name.
