India, Sept. 22 -- With Navratri 2025 starting today, Garba and Dandiya nights promise joy and music. But, long hours of dancing, combined with heat and crowding, can sometimes lead to exhaustion-related mishaps, making it essential to stay mindful of your health. Orthopaedic surgeon, health educator Dr Manan Vora emphasises that staying well-hydrated is crucial to avoiding serious health risks during Garba, such as dizziness, fainting or loss of consciousness caused by dehydration and over-exhaustion. He suggests: "What you can do is stay hydrated throughout the day and even while you are playing, since Garba is an incredibly physically taxing activity." Dr Anjana Kalia, Ayurvedic expert and Nutritionist suggests: "Keep light, healthy snacks like bananas, dry fruits, energy and chocolate bars handy. These can quickly boost glucose levels if you start feeling drained. For people with diabetes or low blood sugar history, monitoring glucose levels before and after long dance sessions is advisable, and carrying a small sweet or glucose tablet can be lifesaving."...
