NEW DELHI, March 23 -- In the British era when princely states existed, stamps were not just for mere postal use but were also a beacon of Indian art. They showed calligraphy, the value of the currency, architecture, monuments and the heritage of the country. Now, in the era of the Internet, where post/ mail has taken a back seat, stamps hold very little significance. But, its art lives on. To introduce the public with this aspect, The Gujaral Foundation present, Property of a Gentleman, an ongoing exhibition showcasing 183 stamps from the Nizams of Hyderabad's Dominions.
