India, June 2 -- Breakfast is important; but on days when meal prep seems like too much effort, a low-calorie smoothie can be a great alternative to getting your nutrients in.
"Smoothies can be great as part of a weight loss plan, but you have to choose the right ingredients and watch portion sizes," says nutritionist Rakshita Mehra. Dietician Ankita Gupta agrees: "A smoothie can be a healthy breakfast that aids weight loss when made with high-fibre fruits and vegetables. Avoid added sugars and calorie-dense ingredients to keep them balanced and satisfying."
