Rupnagar, March 7 -- Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh laid the foundation stone of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Skill Institute to be set up at Chamkaur Sahib here on Wednesday. It will be set up as a constituent college of Inder Kumar Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), costing 500 crore. The CM said, "The institute will provide the requisite skills to youngsters, irrespective of their educational background. Industrial units need skilled people who can work with their hands.
