India, Dec. 8 -- I am very grateful to my fans in India and I can't wait to visit the wonderful country," says Ian Somerhalder, who adds he is thankful for all the love. The Vampire Diaries star now returns with a TV show on a digital platform and this time, he won't be playing a vampire but a vampire hunter. "My show, V-Wars, deals with so much that all of us are facing these days - climate change, racism, politics, politics of fear and how it seeps into our psyche. The supernatural genre is versatile and creates a dynamic world and my years on Vampire Diaries gave me enough understanding of this genre. But on our new show, we don't have supernatural vampires. We talk about a disease that is spreading and causing people to turn into vampires. In fact, we plan to have Indian characters in the second season as the story has the potential,"says Ian. He shares that he "plans to retire in seven years" so this might be his last TV show as he wants to explore different roles now....
