Much like your morning cup of coffee brings you back to life, this humble ingredient works wonders for the skin too. Brimming with antioxidants, coffee helps reduce puffiness, soothe inflammation and stimulate circulation, resulting in a brighter, more radiant complexion. And the best part? A handful of simple DIY scrubs and masks can deliver that lit-from-within glow, without the splurge. Dermatologists Deepali Bhardwaj and Shareefa Chause share their insights.
A nourishing blend that moisturises and reduces early signs of ageing.
How to prepare it: Mix one tablespoon each of coffee powder and honey. Apply to the face, avoiding the eyes, and massage gently. Leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
Ideal for evening out the skin tone while removing impurities.
How to prepare it: Mix a tablespoon of ground coffee with 1-2 tablespoons of milk to form a paste. Apply evenly, leave for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

How to prepare it: Blend two tablespoons each of ground coffee and aloe vera gel. Apply, leave for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
