Loaded water: The new hydration hack
India, Sept. 29 -- Plain water often feels dull, and that's where the latest wellness trend steps in. Flavoured with simple add-ins, loaded water is making waves on social media. More than just eye-catching, it promises to keep hydration exciting while helping cut down on sugary sodas and juices.
Loaded water is simply still or sparkling water infused with extras. Think lemon, watermelon or pineapple chunks, sprigs of mint or basil, or even a splash of coconut water for natural electrolytes. The focus is on making water tasty enough to drink more often.
When done right, loaded water has several benefits, especially with the right ingredients.
Start with a litre of filtered water or cooled green tea. Add fruits like lemon, orange, pineapple or watermelon. Toss in herbs like mint, basil or rosemary. Optional boosters include coconut water or a small scoop of electrolyte powder. Let it infuse in the fridge for 2-4 hours. Strain before drinking.
