Mumbai, Sept. 2 -- Actor Angad Bedi, who was born and raised in Delhi, has been an admirer of Punjabi music. Since childhood, the actor has a huge collection of this genre. Of all musicians, Angad is a huge fan of Punjabi singer and actor, Gurdas Maan. Gurdas, who gained massive success in the 80s for his Punjabi songs, is considered to be one of the first Punjabi superstars in the music scene. Angad has been following Maan since his childhood and always looked forward meeting him someday. And recently, his dream came true. A source close to the actor says, "When Angad learnt Gurdas was visiting Mumbai, he wanted to meet his idol. Angad was overjoyed and got emotional when he met Gurdas for the first time at a suburban hotel in Mumbai. The duo had a long chat over cricket, the Punjabi film industry, Bollywood, and of course, their common love for Punjabi music. They also discussed the probability of doing a film together or a web series on an OTT platform." Talking about it, Angad says, "Gurdas sahab is a living legend and the epitome of Punjabi folk music. My desire in life was to meet only two people - one was Mr Amitabh Bachchan, with whom I worked with in Pink (2016), and the other was Gurdas Maan. I only wanted a picture with these two legends of cinema and music, and just to stand next to them and seek their blessings is a matter of great pride. I have been an avid follower of his music since childhood. It's through his work that Punjabi music started to attain popularity worldwide, and now, we get to hear him not just in India, but abroad as well."...
