Sri Lanka, April 13 -- A 25-year-old was arrested in Saliya Wewa yesterday for allegedly killing his grandparents using a sharp weapon.

The post-mortem examinations on the bodies that were discovered yesterday are expected to be conducted at the Puttalam Hospital.

The exact motive for the killings is currently unknown.

Police stated that the arrested young man appeared to be suffering from some form of mental illness.

He is expected to be produced before the Puttalam Magistrate today.
