Sri Lanka, Dec. 30 -- A 23-year-old from Pelawatta lost his life in a tragic road incident just one day after sharing plans to relocate his family to a better home.

Pasindu Dilan Poorna Madanayaka, the eldest of four brothers, told his father he intended to find a house and bring them to live with him in January to ease their financial hardships.

Pradeep Kumara Madanayaka, the grieving father, recalled his son's final words expressing a desire to end the family's struggle.

Dilan, who previously spent seven years in the monkhood before returning to lay life to support his family, worked multiple jobs, including tiling and clothing sales, to fund his younger brothers' education.
