Sri Lanka, May 6 -- World Bank Group President Ajay Banga is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow (7).

It will be the first visit by the head of the global lender to the island in nearly two decades.

The visit follows an invitation from President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

A communique by the World Bank said that Banga will focus on how the Bank can support job creation, boost private investment, and foster an inclusive and sustainable economic recovery for Sri Lanka.

Banga is expected to meet with President Dissanayake, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, and key figures from the government and private sector.
