Sri Lanka, Feb. 4 -- A 20-year-old woman lost her life near the 7th Mile Post in Epitawala following a collision between a three-wheeler and a fuel tanker.

Kiriella Police report that the incident occurred on the night of February 2 while the victim traveled toward Ingiriya to attend a religious sermon.

The three-wheeler collided with the Ratnapura-bound fuel tanker at a bend in the road.

According to police reports, the impact caused the young woman, who sat in the rear seat, to be thrown from the vehicle and trapped under the rear wheels of the tanker.

She died at the scene.

Authorities identified the deceased as 20-year-old Krishani Kavindya Kumari, a resident of Madanagoda, Ayagama, in Kiriella.
