Sri Lanka, June 25 -- The inquiry committee, appointed to investigate alleged misconduct and serious abuse of power by suspended Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon, concluded hearing testimony from witnesses on his list today (25).

The committee heard testimony from 7 witnesses presented on behalf of the suspended IGP, concluding the defence's submissions.

The inquiry committee is scheduled to reconvene on the 1st of July at 9:30 AM to hear testimony from 2 more prosecution witnesses who were abroad on official duty.
