Sri Lanka, Jan. 10 -- A continuous Satyagraha protest will commence in front of the Education Ministry this Monday (12), at 9:00 AM, demanding the withdrawal of new education reforms and the resignation of the Education Minister.

Wimal Weerawansa, leader of the National Freedom Front and convener of the "Adults for Children" organisation, announced the decision today during a press conference in Colombo.

The protest remains open to all concerned parents regardless of affiliations.

Weerawansa claims the current reforms lack proper opportunities for students and alleges they are being implemented as a commercial racket that jeopardizes the future of the younger generation.
