SriLanka, Nov. 5 -- A wildlife worker was allegedly beaten to death with a club in the Central Camp Police Division of the Ampara District.

The deceased has been identified as Charith Pushpakumara (31), an employee of the Department of Wildlife Conservation.

He was admitted to the Central Camp Hospital Monday night (03) with severe injuries.

Doctors declared that he was already deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

Initial investigations conducted by the police reveal that the murder was the result of a dispute that arose at a wedding celebration held on October 24.

Following investigations, the Central Camp Police arrested two individuals suspected to be involved in the murder. The suspects are aged 21 and 20.
