Sri Lanka, April 25 -- Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been summoned once more to appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption today (25).

This summons is in connection with an investigation involving the Parliamentarian Chamara Sampath Dassanayake.

Former President is now required to appear before the Commission on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 9:30 am.

The Bribery Commission had previously requested Wickremesinghe to clarify statements he made regarding the case against MP Dassanayake.

However, according to the Commission's statement, this new date was granted after considering the contents of a letter sent by Wickremesinghe's lawyer in response to the initial summons.
