Sri Lanka, March 15 -- West Indies Masters defeated Sri Lanka Masters by six runs in a thrilling semifinal of the International Masters League 2025 on Friday.
Chasing a target of 180, Sri Lanka Masters fell short despite Asela Gunaratne's valiant 66 off 42 balls. Upul Tharanga contributed 30 runs, but Tino Best's impressive 4/27 and Dwayne Smith's 2/37 ensured West Indies held on.
Earlier, West Indies posted 179/5 in 20 overs, powered by Denesh Ramdin's unbeaten 50 off 22 balls and Brian Lara's steady 41 off 33. Asela Gunaratne and Jeevan Mendis claimed one wicket each for Sri Lanka.
West Indies will now face India in the final on March 16.
