Sri Lanka, Jan. 21 -- A change in the prevailing dry weather conditions will likely occur starting January 23.

The Department of Meteorology issued a statement noting that while most of the island currently experiences dry weather, a shift in these patterns remains expected toward the end of the week.

Early morning ground frost may develop in certain locations within the Nuwara Eliya district.

Additionally, misty conditions will likely affect parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western, North-Central, and Uva provinces, as well as the Galle, Matara, and Ampara districts during the dawn hours.
