Sri Lanka, May 17 -- The Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating a significant increase in rainfall across many parts of Sri Lanka in the coming days.
A heavy rain advisory highlights the potential for very heavy falls exceeding 100 millimetres in specific areas, including the Northern Province and the Anuradhapura and Puttalam districts.
The department further stated that an overall increase in rainfall is anticipated in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northwestern, and Northern provinces, as well as in the southern Galle and Matara districts.
