Sri Lanka, Sept. 18 -- Ratnapura Police have recovered a cache of locally manufactured weapons and ammunition from the home of a lawyer who died six days ago.
The 71-year-old lawyer's house on Goluwavila Lane in Ratnapura contained a locally manufactured revolver, a pistol, a weapon with a barrel two feet and six inches long, a weapon with a spring attached to an iron barrel, a small tin containing 24 rounds, 53 hakka patas (firecrackers), 383 rounds of 12-bore ammunition, and 57 rounds of 16-bore ammunition.
