Sri Lanka, May 2 -- A significant quantity of gold and silver jewellery, which belonged to civilians and was forcibly seized by LTTE terrorists during the war, has been officially handed over to the Acting Inspector General of Police.
The handover ceremony took place at the Army Headquarters in Akuregoda.
The jewellery had been in the custody of the Sri Lankan Army since its recovery.
