Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- The "Ranaviru Janapawura," a movement representing war heroes, has launched a nationwide public signature campaign in protest of the upcoming Geneva resolution on Sri Lanka.
The resolution is scheduled to be presented on September 8.
The campaign was officially launched yesterday at the N.M. Perera Hall in Colombo.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Venerable Dehipe Chandrawimala Thera, Venerable Balangoda Rathnapriya Thera, Rear Admiral (Rtd) D.K.P. Dassanayake, Rear Admiral (Rtd) Sarath Weerasekera, and Major General (Rtd) Chagie Gallage, among others.
The public will have the opportunity to sign the petition starting the day after tomorrow in major cities across the country.
