SriLanka, Feb. 20 -- False information regarding the health of Venerable Muruththettuwe Ananda Thera and the status of the upcoming Maha Sangha convention is currently circulating on social media, the Thera stated.

Speaking at a press conference in Colombo today, the Thero confirmed that he will definitely participate in the convention scheduled for tomorrow (20).

Reports on social media suggested that Venerable Muruththettuwe Ananda Thera had been hospitalised due to illness, leading to the cancellation of the planned Sangha assembly.
