Sri Lanka, Aug. 7 -- Minister of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing Anura Karunathilaka has been elected as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Association for the 10th Parliament.

The election took place at a meeting held at the Parliament premises recently, which was presided over by Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.

The event was attended by Pakistan's High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Major General (Retd) Faheem Ul Aziz, who was the Guest of Honour.

Member of Parliament Riyas Farook was elected as the Secretary of the Association.
