Sri Lanka, April 22 -- The government will not secure victory in the local government elections scheduled for May 6, according to United National Party (UNP) leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Wickremesinghe made these remarks during a meeting with UNP Colombo District local government candidates, held at the party headquarters, Sirikotha, under his leadership.
However, the UNP leader emphasised that while criticising the government is necessary, it is also important to acknowledge their positive actions.
Wickremesinghe also commended the exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic as a positive initiative.
