Sri Lanka, May 3 -- A third-year student from the Faculty of Technology at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was hospitalised, following an assault by his seniors in the University, for being against ragging.

The student claims that he was assaulted by a group of third and fourth-year students from the same faculty.

The incident occurred just days after a second-year student from the Faculty of Technology at Sabaragamuwa University took his own life on the night of April 29.
