Sri Lanka, April 27 -- The body of an unidentified male has been discovered in the Kelani River, near Kalu Bridge in Peliyagoda.

The body was discovered yesterday (26) by the Peliyagoda police after receiving a tip-off.

The deceased is described as a man approximately 50 years of age and around 5 feet 6 inches tall.

Police report that the man was wearing a blue T-shirt but was unclothed from the waist down.

The slightly deformed body has been placed in the morgue at the Colombo National Hospital.
