Sri Lanka, July 13 -- The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is supporting the Sri Lankan government's initiative to establish an efficient and transparent public service.

This was stated by Azusa Kubota, UNDP Resident Representative in Sri Lanka, during a meeting with President's Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake this morning (13) at the Presidential Secretariat.

The Presidential Media Division announced that discussions focused on the UNDP's support for the government's plan to establish internal affairs units in all government institutions.
