India, Jan. 2 -- Organised crime groups will meet their end under the current administration, regardless of who initiated them, according to Minister of Justice and National Integration, Attorney Harshana Nanayakkara.

Speaking at the 2026 Department of Prisons staff officers' meeting today (02), the Minister affirmed that the government intends to fully eliminate the underworld under the leadership of the President.

The event included the ceremonial handover of ten vans and three tractors valued at Rs. 913.60 million, alongside laptops and computers worth Rs. 104.30 million for prison facilities.
