Sri Lanka, May 6 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (6) arrested two more students from Sabaragamuwa University in connection with the alleged ragging that preceded the death of a fellow student.

The suspects are due to appear before the Balangoda Magistrate's Court.

This brings the total number of arrests in the case to ten.

Charith, a second-year technology faculty student, tragically died by suicide on April 29.

In a note left behind, he cited unbearable mental pressure as the reason.

His parents have claimed he was consistently subjected to ragging at the university.

Following Charith's death, the university appointed a committee to investigate the circumstances.
